What Years Did The Honda Accords Have Bad Transmission?

I am look for a honda accord with a v6. I heard the transmissions were absolutely horrible. Does anyone know what years the honda accords had bad transmissions and if it was just automatic or manual as well.

    auto only from 98-02 v6. 4 cylinders are affected to a smaller degree. 03-05 v6 may have problems as well.
