August 21st, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Car Dealership

There always been a niche market for small used car dealerships to have a well developed software that can effectively run their business and above all make more profit for the business. There is a lack of CRM solution providers, because no vendor can afford to offer their CRM software at the price that is affordable to the small dealers. Many smaller dealerships today are still using the traditional paper and pencil to manage their business, or at best Excel spreadsheet to keep track of their inventory. Throw away those outdated tools, and the concept of big CRM solutions out of the window. Today there are choices available for the small dealers to have effective CRM software that can out perform even the bigger competitors. Software that can manage online customer inquires and converts them into sales, software that can input, export dealer inventory with just few clicks of the mouse. Even more complex functions such as reporting tools, 3D charts, window stickers, even printing bill of sale. The typical challenge for a small dealership today is their online presence. To have a well developed web site, with a strong CRM back end is very costly. No small dealers can afford this kind of cost at the beginning of their business. A typical well developed web site for the big dealerships can range from $6000 to $15000 up front, with monthly SEO cost from $1500 to $6000, not to mention an outdated CRM solution to support it all for $1500 to $5000 per month. These astronomical figures are not made believes and it happens everyday in real life. What if I tell there is a complete web and CRM solution out there available for the small dealers, and starting cost around $300 per month including web site, hosting, SEO and CRM solution all in one. This will level the playing field of Internet for all, not just beneficial to the bigger dealerships. Small Family Cars – The Used Cars’ Price Guide

March 14th, 2010 1 Comment   Posted in New Car Prices

Small family cars have always been popular with Irish drivers.  They can serve the whole family while being cheap to buy, drive and insure. But how to find the best value for money?

The most popular buys

Irish leading motoring website (www.cbg.ie) team has recently conducted a survey on used cars’ prices analyzing the data available on its pages. It turned out, that the most popular vehicles from the small family segment are: Ford Focus, VW Golf and Opel Astra.

In fact Ford Focus has been Ireland’s best-selling car since 2001 and is appreciated for its quality, reliability, comfort and lively driver responsiveness. A 4-5 person family can benefit from its spacious boot and comfortable rear seats. Probably due to popularity and good PR, second-hand Focus is also more expensive than other used cars from the family segment.

The used cars’ prices

The Car Buyers Guide team has compared the prices of Focus, Golf and Astra 1.4 petrol models produced in 2006. Ford has proved to be the most expensive with the average price of €16,000. The biggest rival, VW Golf is not much cheaper – €15,500. Opel is the least pricey options and the average amount of money to be paid for a 1.4 3 year old model is only €12,000 even though it is as attractive as the other two in terms of technology and equipment.

Should it be Opel Astra?

To sum up, it seems that Opel Astra may be the best choice due to its attractive price. What needs consideration however, is the fact that Focus and Golf loose less of value with time, what may make a difference in several years when we decide to sell our used cars. It is also worth mentioning that the new version of Ford Focus will be available next year. As some satisfied users of the second generation models may like to upgrade, the prices may fall a bit due to higher supply.

How Does Auto Insurance Coverage Work For A Small Business?

February 8th, 2010 3 Comments   Posted in Auto Insurance

I am the only employee of my small business (a C Corp). If I lease a car through the business, rather than personally, how does insurance change? Will coverage be more expensive? What if the car is only used 50% of the time for business and 50% for pleasure? What if my wife is occasionally using the car for non-business purposes?

How Much Does It Cost For Repair On A Small Dent Where The Back License Plate Is On A 2005 Bmw?

January 10th, 2010 3 Comments   Posted in BMW

It depends on where you live and the severity of the dent. If the dent is no big deal, you can get one of those Dent King kits for $25 at an autoparts store or Wal-Mart and fix it yourself. I’ve read reviews of that product and it works well for small, simple dents.
If you need to fill the dent and re-paint, it will cost you $250 or more, perhaps much more.
