Do I Have To Use Synthetic Oil In My 1992 Bmw 325i Or Can I Just Use Regular 10w 30?

February 6th, 2010 3 Comments   Posted in BMW

If you want to keep a car running as long as possible then synthetic is always better for a car and the older it gets the more it needs a stable oil to keep it from becoming damaged. You’ll find oils designed for older cars, the main difference between these and other oils is the ability to stay at a thicker viscosity. This allows the oil to help seal and fill the tiny score marks and any minor damage.
If you just want the car to continue driving if it dies don’t care then the cheaper plain oil will work till its dead.
Either way NEVER go from synthetic oil to plain oil as this will cause problems for the car. From original 10-w30 to synthetic will be ok but if you start using synthetic then always use it from then on

I Have A 1996 Bmw 318i Convertible. I Have A Problem With Water In The Car, Does Anyone Know How To Fix This?

February 6th, 2010 3 Comments   Posted in BMW

The roof does not leak but it appears water goes into the part of the car that holds the roof when it is down. When I start driving, the water leaks into the car from there. I have heard there is a valve at the bottom of the car I have to open but can’t find it. Anyone know the answer?
