OK, I bought a Chevy Cobalt brand new over a year and a half ago. I bought it with a GM SmartBuy, which is somewhat of a hybrid between a lease and a baloon payment, but with more options. Anyways, I am “allowed” 48,000 miles on my car. However, I do a lot of driving, and am currently over 42,400 miles. I want to know if there’s a financial penalty if I go over after the four years, or if my options are limited. I planned on buying it outright after four years anyways, I’m just asking now while I’m still under the mileage limit. I only want people who’ve had a SmartBuy answer this, please. Thank you.
