If The Government Ends Up Owning 70% Of Gm, Does Every Taxpaying American Get The Employee Discount?

January 15th, 2010 Posted in GM

Our tax money is bailing out GM and buying their bonds to the tune of 70% ownership in the company. So we the taxpayers own GM. It would seem to reason that we should qualify for the Employee Discount on all GM products since “We the People” are the owners. Am I right?

GM products are already cheap. Easy finance too. What’s the matter, don’t you like socialism?
It works like this: Cerebus Capital gets the bail out, we get the debts. Isn’t it fun?

If this is true, you will have to pay the money they lose on the discounted sale. So in the end it doesn’t matter.
