I Need To Replace The Wiper Stalk In My 01 Bmw 330ci. Is There A Trick To Releasing The Airbag?

The network my mechanic uses states a 30 torx through access holes on the rear of the wheel, but he’s having no luck getting the airbag to release. Is there a specific trick to getting it? Thanks for any help, otherwise I’ll be taking it to the dealer…

    Yep, the trick is DON’T MESS WITH IT. Air bag removal requires special precautions. One wrong move, and that sucker will go off in your face. Tak it to a mechanic.
