Did Gm Take A Full Page Ad Out In Your Local Paper Yesterday?

December 18th, 2009 Posted in GM

I live in a town of 80,000 and in our local paper GM took out a whole page ad on the auto industry matters and giving their spin on “facts”. How many other towns across America had a full page ad in their local paper? I Wonder how much the advertising campaign to beg for money cost them?

  1. Sergeant Vince Carter, USMC Says:

Every day this whole week. Either GM, or my “local auto dealers”, whoever, all kinds of unsympathetic idiots asking for a handout and screaming bloody murder if they don’t get their handout. I give them the proverbial middle finger that they have all earned.
Chapter 11, boys and girls. Restructure or die, goodbye UAW. That’s the solution to the non-”problem”.

  2. Planet Says:

Ours didn’t have an ad like that today, but I can understand why they did it. There’s a LOT of misinformation floating around about the requested bridge loan the auto makers are asking for—what caused the problem, retooling for the future, dropping labor costs, how the loss of the auto industry will effect the economy, etc. My link is to the web facts and fiction page, though.

  3. I'm just a Bill Says:

They must file chap 11 so they can get rid of the UAW once and for all. Once they do that, Wagoner needs to roll out a new plan based on lean measures. Investors will then come flooding back in.

yes…and the heads of the Big 3 flew to Washington DC in their 100 million dollar private jets
