Car Accident With No Collision Coverage In Auto Insurance Policy?

i was in an accident today, i hit someone from behind, therefore it is automatically my fault….even though they stopped out of nowhere!
anyway, i have auto insurance, BUT i don’t have collision coverage….
what happens?

    What happens is your insurance pays for the other cars damages but not for your car. For that, you are “self insured” because you had no collision coverage. Turned out to be a poor choice, eh?

    I assume you have a minimum requirement liability policy, which will pay for your victim’s car and bodily damages but not your car’s repairs, your om your own for that part.
    You don’t think it was a staged accident, they like to have a car load of people hit by an expensive car.

    You will pay out of your pocket to repair your own vehicle. The car you rear-ended will be covered by your liability coverage.
